Custom Soufriere Tour, 23.3.21.

On March 23rd, we set off from the Rodney Bay Marina on a Custom Soufriere Tour, shortly after 10am. Our guests were a lovely family of four, who were visiting St. Lucia for the very first time.

As soon as we exited the marina, we turned left hugging the coastline as we headed south. All of the major resorts were pointed out along the way. We continued south past Castries Harbour, until we got to Ciceron. This is the site of The Arch, which also known as Cinderella’s Shoe. As we eased through the tunnel, the two children watched in amazement from the bow of Remedy while Dad took the photos of this unique natural feature.

Our next stop was Marigot Bay, for a quick drive through and more photos. As we slowly entered, our visitors were mesmerized by the beauty of this scenic little cove, and tropical haven for mariners.

Then it was on to Soufriere and into a taxi, headed to our first site. On the way, our driver Alex gave us a quick history lesson. A few minutes later, we made our way into the drive-in volcano, to experience the warm waters of the Mineral Mud Baths. After a therapeutic dip and some Volcano Art, it was time to move on to our next stop.

Toraille Waterfall was the venue and the family was elated to cool off in the refreshing waters of this magical place. More photos and some jelly coconut water completed the visit. Then it was time to head back to Remedy.

We headed north up the coast to Anse Cochon, where Captain Freddy switched hats, and began to prepare lunch. Snorkeling was the call for dad and the kids in the meantime. For mum, a little R&R in the shade. Soon it was time for lunch and Chef Freddy didn’t disappoint. His BBQ chicken was a hit with everyone! After lunch, a few Pitons and some Rum Punch, it was time to head home.

We returned to the marina at 5pm sharp as scheduled, and said good bye to our new friends. We really hope to see this wonderful family in St. Lucia again soon!
