Soufriere Full-day Tour, 30.1.21.
On January 30th, we had the pleasure of entertaining these 3 lovely ladies that were in St. Lucia for the very first time. They selected our Soufriere Full-day Tour. I think it’s safe to say, ultimately they were thrilled with their decision.
To begin, we set off down the coast and you could see how intently they took in the scenery. Our first stop was at The Arch below Ciceron. As we slowly drove Remedy through the tunnel, their smiles expressed their delight.
We then motored past Anse La Raye and Canaries as our guests gazed at the mountainous terrain on display. Their curiosity levels increased as they saw the tips of Mount Gimie and Petit Piton, however, they had no idea the sight they were about to behold!
We slowed down in front of Anse Chastanet to point out the world famous Jade Mountain as Freddy set the scene for the great reveal. The ladies got their cameras ready, then we slowly rounded the point and voila! Our French friends were blown away by the spectacular view of The Pitons as their ‘oooos’ and ‘aaaahs’ clearly indicated. As a result, they took loads of photos in an effort to capture this magnificent moment.
The tour proceeded around the bay past the Bat Cave, and no, not Batman’s. We cruised past the town of Soufriere, and continued along until we arrived at our snorkel site at Sugar Beach. Snorkeling in the crystal clear waters at the base of Petit Piton was amazing; however, the number of fish on display, took the experience over the top!
After snorkeling and a refreshing beverage, we headed back up the coast to our lunch stop at Anse Cochon. Captain Freddy’s cooking skills were put to the test and we weren’t disappointed. The ladies enjoyed the scrumptious BBQ, which was served in the shade of the tree line, of this beautiful little black sand beach. One last quick swim to cool off after lunch and it was off again.
We entered Marigot Bay and shared the incredible history of this amazing place with our guests. They were truly intrigued by the abundance of information, surrounding the battles between the French and the British for St. Lucia. They took a few more pictures, then proposed a quick toast to a really fun trip. Finally, we headed up the coast, concluding a wonderful day on Remedy.
We look forward to entertaining Kannelle and her friends again sometime in the not too distant future. Until then…. #StaySafe.
